About this event

Zoom event
For decades in the United States, there has been an epidemic of hanging noose incidents to terrorize and harass Black workers and other workers. These  systemic racist attacks have not been responded to by any organized political education and action campaign in the trade unions and labor movement.
Today with the rise of a fascist government that openly wants to bring back the confederacy and end any legal actions against racism and discrimination, the issue of what’s happening and what unions should do about this is critical.

Joining the panel is:
Steve White, Public School Teacher
Brenda Barros, SEIU 1021 SF General Hospital Chair
Gabriel Prawl, ILWU Local 52 Past president & Seattle APRI president
Kirby Washington, IATSE 600
Barry Anderson, IBT 856 Steward
Cheryl Thornton, SEIU 1021 SF Community Healthcare Chair
