Labor Choruses Raise Their Voices in Seattle and DC

Labor choruses on both coasts are preparing spring concerts celebrating solidarity and worker power through song.
The Seattle Labor Chorus will hold its annual concert on May 3, with both in-person and virtual tickets available. The event brings together labor activists, community groups and supporters to celebrate the power of collective resistance through music. Guest organizations including Starbucks Workers United and TRACTION will also share updates about their organizing and community work. The concert serves as a key fundraiser supporting the chorus’s performances at picket lines, rallies and community events throughout the year. Tickets are available here.
In Washington, DC, the DC Labor Chorus will present its Spring Concert on May 9 at 7 pm at the Washington Ethical Society, with a livestream option available. The chorus has been active this year supporting federal workers and standing with women, immigrants, people of color, LGBTQ+ communities and other marginalized groups at rallies, picket lines and community events. The concert will feature labor movement songs from past and present, with guest performers Freedom Futures Collective and the Black Workers Center Chorus of ONE DC’s Black Workers & Wellness Center in Anacostia. Details and tickets here.
