
During the summer of 2023, faculty artists at the Eastern Music Festival (EMF) voted to unionize. Almost two years later, they’re still waiting. “We are fighting to save not only our jobs but the very heart and soul of this festival, which our incompetent management would destroy with their short-sighted and petty cuts,” Anna Kate Mackle tells LHF. EMF is a five-week summer music festival for high school and college students, located in Greensboro, North Carolina.
